The Shack is in the foreground, the building surrounding is also a part of the restaurant. Patrons eat at their cars or standing at the counter along the back walls. It's got a very simple menu: hamburgers, hot dogs, tamales, fries and soda pop. It's open till 2am.
Tommy's was established in 1946 by Tommy Koulax. They have since opened up chains all throughout
Southern California and i believe in Nevada too. I've been going myself for about 30 some odd years. My
kids have been going all thief life all well. The food is simple. But great! We don't go as often as one may think. I must admit though that the last time I had a Tommy's Chile Burger was New Years Eve 2009.
